Hi Parents and Students!

The 2019-2020 school year is upon us!  As we begin to gear up for the new year, Marching Season is about to start.  Here are a few announcements for you:

• Band Camp – Our band camp has been reduced from 2 weeks to one week! The new dates and times are as follows:

• July 29 through August 2 – 8 AM to 5 PM each day.

• August 2 will be our friends and Family night! We encourage all families to attend to see the kids perform what they have been work so hard on for the week!  This is a pot luck picnic style event, so each section will be tasked with bringing a different food item for all to share. The event runs from 6 PM to 8 PM. A list of food items needed, and responsibilities will be shared with you shortly.
• Band Camp Forms – All of the forms needed for the beginning of Band camp will be distributed the first day of camp. Please complete the forms and return them as soon as possible.  We will have a notary present for camp on certain days if you are unable to have them notarized elsewhere.
• Football schedule – The ACHS football schedule can be found here. Remember, the band attends ALL home games (unless otherwise specified).  Away games that we will attend are TBA.  Stay tuned for more information.

• Football ad sales – The football ad sales continue! Please be sure to get your ad forms, money, and artwork to Linda Backus as soon as possible.  Remember, any “reserved” ads become available on July 22.  You can find the up to date list here:

The final deadline for ALL ad sales is August 14. 

• Coupon book Sales – Our next fundraiser is getting ready to start! The coupon book sales event will start at the beginning of school and run until (need dates here).  [Students will be purchasing books in advance?]. Please be sure to pick up your books from Tricia Tozzi.

• Fair Share – We are moving to a new model for fair share payments this year. Each month there will be a payment due of $100 for the four months of marching season. This will occur each month through marching season.  For Winter Guard, Winter Percussion, or Winter Winds that are notconcert band-related, the payments of $100 per month will continue for four more months.  We will have more information to share on this during band camp.
