7/31/18

Hello All,

Great Job at Saturday’s Car Wash!

Firstly, great job to all our students who helped raise over $700 at our Car Wash Saturday!  Your hard work and support paid off!

Photo Day Tuesday – Bring Black Socks & Marching Shoes

Students should remember to bring black socks and marching shoes Tuesday morning.  If they do not have marching shoes, bring any black shoes or we have some pairs students can borrow.

Habit Burger Fundraiser Tonight!

Please come out and support the band today at dinner, 4-9PM!  We’ll be at Habit Burger after camp ends.  Please bring your flyer and let the cashier know you wish to support the band.  A portion of the proceeds tonight with be donated to the band.  See the attached Flyer for details!

Booster Meeting Moved to Wednesay at 5:00 PM

Parents, please note that our Band Booster meeting originally scheduled for Today (Tues) at 5pm has been moved to Wednesday this week at 5pm.  This was a necessary change we had to make in order to accommodate the Habit Burger fundraiser.

Wish List

Parents/Students, we need your help! Please let Mr. Bowman or Ken Urquhart know if you are planning to donate.  Thank you!

  • Sidewalk Chalk – to help students set drill.  Ne need to build up a reserve of at least 10  boxes!
  • Snacks & Ice Pops for students

59-Minute Fundraiser Forms Due (Applies to all Students)

Students were sent home a handout to be filled with 20 contacts (minimum) and returned on Monday.  Many students are late on this. Parents please help by encouraging your kids to get this done.  This is for our Fundraiser on Friday and must be turned in beforehand!  This is an important opportunity for our Band to earn funds to cover our unusually high equipment and busing costs this season!  We need everyone involved!

Last Call on Paperwork!

Several students have not turned in their paperwork due last week!  Parents please be mindful that Registration/Commitment Forms, Medical Forms, and T-Shirt/Shoe Forms are all past due.  Students missing these are at risk of being suspended from band activity or missing their Shoe/Shirt orders (in which case they will have to order on their own).

Football Ads are Still Going On!

We are still many ads short for our book this year, so we are continuing to HIGHLY encourage families to take advantage of this fundraiser.  Remember, this fundraiser makes the largest impact on your Fair Share!

Furthermore, due to the continued need for ads we will be extending the deadline till the first week of school.  So everyone plan on getting out there the week after camp and selling some Ads!  We need the funds to keep our band program on target!  If you have sold ads, please make sure to let Linda Backus and Mary Wilkey know and follow up by checking that paperwork/payments/art is in!
